Oregon Myrtle Memorial Urn

Oregon Myrtle Memorial Urn
This beautifully hand-crafted urn features timeless construction details and a fine hand-rubbed finish. It is designed to last for generations, providing a beautiful and respectful resting place for the cremated remains of a loved one.
Made entirely of uniquely beautiful Oregon Myrtle (also known as California Bay Laurel), this is a one-of-a-kind urn with lasting, tasteful beauty. The box is constructed using a technique that results in continuous grain around all four corners of the box. The Myrtle "keys" that reinforce the mitered corners of the box are a beautiful and functional detail that will enable this box to last for generations. The hinged lid features a frame-and-panel design with mitered corners, and opens to a separate top compartment that allows for a wide range of memorabilia to remain close at hand. The lid panel also provides plenty of space for laser-engraving a memorial, for instance. The upper compartment is lined with black faux suede fabric. The main compartment is accessed, and secured, by a plywood bottom panel fastened with screws.
The box and lid exterior are finished with several coats of a traditional wiping varnish, which offers long-term protection as well as a lovely look and feel. Interior surfaces, including the bottom of the lid, are finished with a traditional shellac coating that does not impart an odor to the interior of the box. The box shown is the actual item you will receive.
