The box itself features mitered corners with a construction technique that results in continuous matching wood grain at all four corners – a detail that is not found in mass-produced boxes. The lid is joined to the box with traditional hinges, and leans back at a comfortable angle when open.

Inside the box, a sliding tray allows easy storage of small items, and lifts out as needed for access to the entire box, which also features (removable) solid wood dividers for additional organization. Both tray and box are lined with a luxurious faux suede fabric.

The box and lid exterior are finished with a traditional polyurethane that offers long-term protection, as well as a lovely look and feel. Interior surfaces, including the bottom of the lid, are finished with a traditional shellac coating that does not impart an odor to the interior of the box.

Personalization through laser-engraving is available by request. Please contact me for more information if you have a message you’d like to include on the box. Engraving is typically done on the underside of the lid so that it can be featured and enjoyed when the box is opened.
